Add your reviewDark purple in the glass. This wine was very fruit-forward and made in the usual big, round California style. Berry fruit flavors predominate on the nose and the palate. Some oak can be found as well. Not overly complex. Medium tannins. The finish lingered for a moment. The alcohol was a little hot in this wine, maybe a result of its youth. We had this wine with a dinner of prime rib, which seemed to complement the wine well enough. I think that the best role for this wine would be a table wine to be enjoyed with food. Good but not outstanding.

Something disjointed about this. Earthy and burnt coffee aromas, with a touch of rubber. Cranberry palate, oddly high-toned given the aromas. Doesn't hang together.
Cherry and berry on the nose, bright berry, blackberry on the tongue with a nice oaky finish. Smooth. Nice.
