Here's a great wine for the price. It has the character of a fine North Coast Cabernet, with blackcurrant, spiced plum and cherry flavors, firm, sweet tannins and overlay of smoky oak. Turns thin in the middle, but the flavors reprise on the finish. Good value.

This one's produced from vineyards located throughout California's finest grape growing regions. The vineyards are selected for their unique soils and microclimates. Winemaker Dennis Hill carefully develops each vineyard lot to capture their unique flavors and aromatic qualities. Grapes from the Central Coast provide round, intense cherry and plum flavors; Sonoma County grapes add rich spicy flavors, and the Napa Valley grapes add fruit.

A straightforward, likeable Cabernet, with spicy black cherry and fennel aromas and flavors. Modest complexity and slightly firm tannins make for a wine of some substance. Drink now through 2006.
