Wine Tasting Notes The Blackstone Sonoma Reserve Cabernet shows aromas and flavors of fresh cherry and plum with hints of clove, chocolate and coffee. This is an elegant Meritage, with smooth, round tannins, and a long, flavor-packed finish. Enjoy this pleasing wine with filet mignon with blue cheese and walnuts, barbecued tri-tip, creamy pasta dishes or cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano and smoked Gouda.
Staple dinner wine. Great value and pairs well.
Nice, jammy and drinkable. Absolutely no depth, but a pleasant cheap wine.
This is a good wine if you can get it under $15. Clean, not to fruity and with a smokey undertone. Good for a relaxing diner or alone.
Smooth table wine. Not very fruity or complex. Undertones of vanilla are present. Overall, a good everyday wine.

Wine Tasting NotesThe Blackstone Cabernet Sauvignon has great complexity. Layered notes of caramel toffee, ripe plum, and black cherry are accented by the suggestion of cinnamon-spice in the aromatics of this wine. Dry, full-bodied and rich in texture, the flavors of black cherry and licorice dominate the palate and carry through to a long, warm finish. Fine, supple tannin structure will stand up to the heartiest of beef entrees, but will compliment the delicate texture of elegant pork loin roast and subtle veal cutlet with accompanying reduction sauces.
