Black Swan Chardonnay Black Swan 2010

External Review:

Aromas are of buttered toast and pear; in the mouth, the pear, melon and peach flavors are halfhearted, or not all that concentrated. A good pour if you need an inexpensive, cold quaff that your friends aren't going to think about too much.

I'm hooked! Very tart with a hint of pears.

The label states: "New label, same bold taste". Unfortunately no bold taste at all. Hints of grapefruit and lemon, no chardonnay typical oaky or buttery taste. More a sweat-crispy style wine. Nothing special, but drinkable considering the price.

Definite pinapple flavors with a short finish. Nothing too exciting. Paid $9.

Has floral, pear and vanilla notes waft on the nose. Its body in on the soft side, but the sweet, stone fruit-and-citrus profile (and its price) are surefire crowd pleasers.

Crisp flavors of pineapple and tropical fruit, blended in harmony to create a refreshing, smooth wine. It is true to the Australian tradition of fruit-forward whites, displaying hints of melon and tropical fruit. The refreshingly crisp flavors of the fruit are balanced with soft notes of toasted oak, providing the wine with more body and complexity. On the finish, the fruit shines through once again.
