Black Swan Carbanet Sauvignon NV
Our Black Swan Shiraz-Cabernet is true to this classic Aussie combo. The Shiraz delivers bright raspberry flavors and a touch of spice, while the Cabernet provides rich blackberry flavors and fine-grained tannins, giving structure and length to the palate. Try our Black Swan Shiraz-Cabernet with grilled beef or lamb.
Black Swan Vineyards are named for Australia's black swan. One-of-a-kind. True beauty inside and out. An independent spirit befitting those that enjoy our wine. Created from premium grapes from Australia’s premiere South Eastern region, Black Swan is the perfect pairing with fine fare, friends or even take-out. So enjoy the wine. Ruffle your feathers and join the flock.
Not acidic. Not bright but warm. I loved it. Not sophisticated. Cozy.
Let's be honest, for $6 a bottle your expectations need to be modest. This is a drinkable wine that exceeds expectations at the price point. It gets significantly better if you aerate it (decant a $6 bottle of wine, zut alors!). A reliable alternative to Yellow Tail, with a thicker mouth-feel (i.e. texture) and more wood taste than the 'wallaby-logo' standard, in a good way. Pairs well with most any red meats. Perfect for hamburgers.
Bought a bottle of this last night. What a delicious wine! One of the best I have had so far in my wine tasting experience. I paired this up with a nice delicious sirloin for dinner. With Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes. It went well with the meal and I will tell you one thing, I Will be buying another bottle for my Christmas party that is coming up next week! I know my guests will enjoy this wine just as much as I do.
