Black Rock Vintners Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 2005
The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Our second commercial release also features the same great Cabernet grapes from the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County, California featured in our 2004, but this time we've added a small percentage of Syrah grapes. The result is a deeper, richer, bolder, more complex flavor than our 2004. With overtones of almond coconut and black currents, aroma of dark mocha and a velvety chocolate on the finish adding to the complexity of this outstanding vintage.
Tasted at the Wine Century annual dinner: Coffee and licorice. as expected from a california cab. Tight but solid. Interestingly grown in Alexander Valley, trucked to CT, then made on the north east coast of the US. Strange...
A good cab just under $20...hmmm. Will get a couple more bottles to have around!! Grapes from cali and made about 10 miles form my house?
