I found Black Opal Cabernet Sauvignon to be nicely balanced between the sweetness and tannins (broad enough description?). I indeed could taste the black currant, spice, and maybe a hint of cranberry?

This is a wonderful wine for the price point. I sensed cherry and pepper flavors. One of the best finishes of any wine I've tried. Love it!
