Black Kite Pinot Noir Anderson Valley 2009
A rich, silky and deeply flavored wine, our 2009 Kite’s Rest Pinot Noir boasts a beautiful garnet color, high-toned cherry and cranberry flavors and notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet black tea and vanilla that are carried to the focused finish on a delicate backbone of fine grained tannins. Cooperage: 11 months in 1/3 new and 2/3 one-year-old French oak barrels.
Black Kite Cellars is dedicated to reaching the pinnacle of what Pinot Noir can be-a marvelously aromatic and flavorful wine. We are committed to quality and this is reflected in the limited number of cases released. We're named for the beautiful but endangered Black Shouldered Kite that is native to the Anderson Valley. These incredible hawks can frequently be seen circling the skies over our vineyard.
