Black Hills Estate Viognier 2009

Member Review by zufrieden:

This is a a true expression of locale for this delicious, delicate variety from the south of France; a strong scent of fleshy sub-tropical fruit - apricots, peaches and lychee nuts predominate - as expected. There is a ginger infused accent on the apricot upon entry - with just a bit of heat and bitters. With a bit less astringency and a sweet core this wine would be top-notch. Good overall, however.
