Bitch Grenache 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2006 "Bitch" grenache was rated 90 points by Robert Parker...the new vintage will not be rated for another month. Don't miss out...The Bitch Grenache is sourced from 40-60 year old vines from the Ebenezer sub-region of the Barossa. With the price of Cotes du Rhone soaring due to the weak dollar, I am hard pressed to think of a better value in full-flavored Grenache. Medium ruby-colored, it presents an alluring bouquet of earth, smoke, rhubarb, cherry, and strawberry. Supple, sweet, and tasty, this wine totally over-delivers for its humble price and is an exceptional value. Cheese pairings: Cheddar, jalepeno cheese Food Pairings: Beef Barbeque, sweet potato fries, cajun chicken

I'm an old school Great Grand Ma with a classy attitude. Someone left this bottle of wine in the hotel I work in and when it wasn't claimed I grabbed it. I don't usually drink red wine because of migraines, however this wine was great. It was not too sweet nor too bitter. I turned up the music (jazz) and cleaned my whole house. It brought back old times when my children were still at home. Too all you classy Grand Ma'sk give it a try, it is really smooth and makes you feel young again.

This bottle is much more than a clever name. Sourcing tempranillo and grenache grapes from Spain this wine boasts excellent structure and plenty of sass. Send one to you best or worst friend!
