Billecart-Salmon White Blend Marc de Champagne 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

95 points The Champagne Guide 2014-2015: (disgorged Jan 2013; 70% PM, 30% CH; 1/3 fermented in 5-yr-old barrels; 3g/L). Deemed of insufficient interest for Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart, 2004 gave birth to a new cuvée... retaining youthful precision of fresh lemon and grapefruit, slowly evolving to preserved lemon and brioche. Subtle reductive character is manifested in notes of gunpowder, lingering on a finish of chalk mineral texture and low-flying, streamlined persistence. (2013) -Tyson Stelzer

Juicy, penetrating orchard fruit and orange zest flavors gain flesh and and spiciness with air. Packs a solid punch but carries n... Stephen Tanzers IWC.
