Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé Cuvée Elisabeth Salmon Rose NV
A romantic Champagne... First loved by women, its balance and its delicacy have made it a revered wine appreciated by everyone. The production secrets and the vinification method of this cuvee go back to the origins of the House of Billecart-Salmon and have been handed down for seven generations. The Brut Rose is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir vinified as white wine with a small percentage of Pinot Noir vinified as wine. Its pale pink colour is adorned with warm glints of gold, and its delicate, slowly rising bubbles gives it a persistent mousse. This Cuvée unveils a subtle aroma leading to an elegant, delicate bouquet of fine notes of red fruits. A light elegant style, followed by a fresh finish.
The Billecart-Salmon House is the embodiment of these rare family businesses who have constantly strived to build the legend of Champagne. The family's independence has helped them to maintain a sense of continuity in the concoction of their champagnes with as their watchwords: finesse, balance and elegance. Each generation has endeavoured to propel the art of wine-growing into modern world, while remaining firmly rooted in almost two centuries experience.
One of my all-time favorite rose Champagnes. Balanced, refreshing and fruity... and consistently delicious.
Light, lovely, and rightly dry. Delicate bubbles and romantic to hold in hand--affords me to feel quite the elegant young lady.
Still one my favorite non-vintage Champagnes. This has real grace, with soft berry fruit aromas, gorgeous texture and a long, clean finish. It doesn't knock you over the head but lures you in very seductively.
Light red fruity nose. Nice bubbles, very soft acidity (nicely muted by the fruit). Some bready yeast notes, but very mild. Served with a ginger pork noodle broth. Lovely.
really beautiful light brick colour, but I think this bottle was not at its best, so I will have to taste another one!
This is an absolutely lovely NV Brut Rosé. Like with all of Billecart-Salmon's Champagnes, it is well balanced and composed - nice mousse, nice fruit, nice minerality and acidity - it's just very very nice! Recommended
All brut rosés should be so wondrous. This house delivers a consistent NV winner year after year. Perfect fruit/acid balance. Persistent fine bubbles. Integrated. Harmonious. Joyful juice.

A fine, delicate bead is Billecart-Salmon's signature. A blend of the Pinots and Chardonnay. Dry with exquisite red berry character and a gorgeous texture. An ideal Champagne to enjoy as an apéritif with smoked salmon or sushi.
The NV Brut Rosé is beautifully balanced in its layers of perfumed red fruit, berries and flowers. Clean mineral notes frame a silky, sensual finish. Billecart-Salmon's NV Brut Rosé is one of the most consistently delicious roses readers are likely to find. This is Lot: L779914 30209M. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2014.
A dry rosé, freshly tasting of red currant fruits, laced with beautifully refreshing acidity. The wine has some weight, but it has more of an elegant, dancing lightness.
A bone-dry but delicious wine, with red fruits and a beautiful onion-skin color that just hints at rosandeacute;. Lovely acidity completes the serious and highly enjoyable wine.
Lovely stately strawberry fruit, baked apples, brioche and spice. Invigorating acidity, beautifully soft fizz, very gentle and elegant persistence. (RH) Jancis Robinson. A Champagne Blend wine from Champagne in France. N.V. Billecart-Salmon Rose 1500ml
A coiled spring of a Champagne, with its berry and bread dough notes locked up in the structure. This needs time or food to mellow and reveal its charms. Good length, with a candied cherry aftertaste. Best from 2006 through 2009. (BS) Wine Spectator. A Champagne Blend wine from Champagne in France. N.V. Billecart-Salmon Rose 375ml
Pale, orange-tinged pink. Vibrant, spicy aromas of orange peel, ruby-red grapefruit and floral honey. Focused and pure, with juicy orange and tangy rhubarb flavors and a lush, velvety texture. This is weightier than previous bottlings of this cuvee, but has the usual precision and lift expected by long-time fans of this rose. Finishes with juicy citrus flavors and a late mineral jolt.
