RP: 90 ST: 90 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Nov/Dec 05 Bright, pale straw. Cool, fresh and stony on the nose, with pure citrus notes of lime, grapefruit and lemon zest. Firm and tensile on the palate, with excellent focus and tangy, pure flavors of lemon, lime and green apple. Like drinking ice cubes wrapped in barbed wire-but a lot better than that sounds. The most vibrant, tightly wound and flavorful non-vintage brut bottling I tasted this year and a paradigm of the type. 90 points
Crystal clear lemon and ripe apple aromas are repeated on the crisp almost crunchy palate through to a long translucent finish.

Its blend is made with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from three different years, sourced from the best sites in the Champagne region. This cuvée, with reflections of straw yellow, stands out by the finesse of its slowly rising bubbles and its persistent and abounding mousse. Maturity touched with floral freshness for this cuvée that breathes aromas of fresh fruit and ripe pears. Palate: A full and accurate flavor combined with a fine freshness and a rich bouquet bear witness to the ageing of this cuvée in the House’s traditional cellars. Brut Réserve is the ideal partner for every occasion. It is perfect as an aperitif and can be enjoyed with a wide variety of dishes.

The tiny mousse tells a lot about the quality of this impressive Champagne. It is quite full in style, with flavors of white currants and a rich, but still bone-dry aftertaste. It is a perfect food Champagne, with structure and a good tension between richness and elegance.
More bass than treble. Full-bodied and voluminous, this delivers subtle, complex shadings of whole-grain bread, coconut and candied fruit, finishing with a distinctive rhubarb preserve aftertaste. It's rich and balanced on the soft side.
Pale gold. Fresh peach, pear and nectarine on the nose, with a complicating note of white flowers. Fleshy, plush and ripe, with strong peach and ripe pear flavors in a more powerful and less restrained style than last year's release. Firms up on the finish, picking up a mineral note and showing very good balance and length.
Made with a high proportion of Pinot Meunier, this is elegant, fruity, with plenty of good acidity and a wonderful floral character. It is so fruity, fresh, a wine for real enjoyment.
