Big Ass Cab -Wb90! 2007
Wine Tasting Notes Fruit-driven and full-bodied with lush aromas of cassis, crushed red berries, and slight cinnamon and cedar nuances, our Big Ass Cab is a perfect complement to any rich or savory meal. The wine was aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels, which gives the wine balanced toasty oak and vanilla characters. The palate exhibits concentrated blackcurrant and ripe berry flavors that are layered with lush cocoa powder tannins in the finish.
Big Ass is a brand produced by the Adler Fels winery in Napa and Sonoma counties in California. The brand was designed to create a wine “...that typifies the California winemaking style...” with full body and flavors. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel are big and robust while the Chardonnay is soft and buttery, all with fruit-driven flavors.
Expected more from this one probably because of the price of $25. I've had better cabs by accident
Was overpriced for the taste. Was ok but would not seek it further. Saved the cork that said BIG ASS which is what I felt like after tasting it. Nonetheless, put the cork in a frame with 39 other corks.
Nice fruit flavors, deep color with nice tannins. Slightly smokey as a finish. For $20 dollars, I expected more but it just wasn' t there for me. The cork said BIG ASS which I mounted in a thick black picture frame with 38 other corks
