Food Pairings for Bieler Père et Fils Syrah Blend Vin des Pays de Maures Rosé
On first sight, the packaging is elegant and regal and the juice itself pink with an orangish tinge. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, spice and minerals. The flavors are powerful, light strawberry, orange and is a bit herbaceous. This is not overly sweet but does have a small amount of acidity that balances it out. The Cabernet does give this wine a nice backbone that you normally do not find in the usually light Roses of Southern France.

Coteaux d'Aix en Provence, FranceBieler Pere et Fils Ros is a delicious dry ros from Provence, now in its seventh strong vintage-and by far our top-selling ros last season! Winemaker Charles Bieler, whose family is renowned for its former ownership of Chateau Routas, launched Bieler Pere et Fils in homage to his father Philippe and named this wine for his daughter Sabine. This rich, deeply colored ros from 5 hillside vineyards of Coteaux d'Aix en Provence is Grenache-driven (50%) blended with 20% Grenache, 15% Cinsault and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a great wine to usher in the spring, combining the rich flavors of a red wine with the refreshing qualities of a white. It's a true wine gem! Bieler Pere et Fils Ros is soft cranberry-red in color with a gorgeous nose of raspberry, bing cherry, wild strawberry and spicy minerality. It is beautifully crisp and flavorful on the palate with medium body and notes of red berries, bing cherries, spice and no oak. The finish is long and refreshing.Enjoy Bieler Pere et Fils Ros now and over the next 2-3 years as the perfect patio aperitif wine. It matches up beautifully with salade Nicoise, roast chicken, grilled shrimp and mild cheeses.
40% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2010 vintage was a bit cooler than 2009 resulting in a rosé that is not quite as opulent but with greater spice and layers of complexity. Raspberry, bing cherry, and wild strawberry with a spicy minerality that keeps the fruit in check. The acidity is a bit brighter than the '09.
