Food Pairings for Bessan Segur
Very smooth, excellent full bodied but soft red, perfect for steak frites, mussels in garlic sauce, mushrooms, etc. We paid $50 for the bottle at a restaurant last night so I placed it around $20 in a wine store, and we plan to buy some for home.
Very pleasant and sweet - a little simple, but with an engaging acidity. An operetta claret.

The 2005 Chateua Bessan Segur Medoc comes from the area known as the Medoc, which runs along the western bank of the Gironde estuary. This blended wine is produced from a variety of grapes typically used to make the red wines of Bordeaux. Its combination of Cabernet Sauvignon is widely accepted as a compulsory component of any Bordeaux Blend, with Merlot following very close behind. This wine is an excellent choice for steak lovers!
