Bertrand Ambroise Nuits Saint Georges Premier Cru Clos des Argillieres 2008

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Tight on the nose with a lovely hot iron mineral tone, hot rocks, and notes of stemmy fruit and gently toasty oak tones. On the palate this is rather big with rich, muscular fruit yet retains a fine sense of transparency allowing the fruit to shine. the finish is fresh and gently spiced. It may be a bit simple but I do like the purity here and the precise balance and flavors. 89pts
