Berton Vineyards Berton Reserve Botrytis Semillon 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

Berton Vineyards is located in High Eden, a sub-region of Eden Valley, South Australia. The altitude and cool climate provides ideal conditions for the production of high quality fruit. Surrounded by native yacca grass and watched over by the superb blue wren, they grow some of the best Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in the hills. The area around Griffith is internationally noted for producing some of the best Botrytis affected wines. This example shows intense aromas of orange rind, apricot and honey. The palate bounces with orange, grapefruit, and honey flavours that carry through to a beautifully balanced and persistent finish.
