In 1976, Richard began his career in the wine industry as one of the original co-founders of Duckhorn Wine Company. On a quest to develop the worlds finest Pinot's he continues his passion with his new brands, Drystone of New Zealand and his private label, Berridge, of Northern California. He believes the more the fickle Pinot Noir grape struggles to survive, the better the juice it will produce.
