Food Pairings for Beringer Vineyards Zinfandel Blend California White Zinfandel
King of the zinfandels, all hail. Surprised the reviews are low, but to each their own, here are some points I'd like to highlight. A full-sensory experience, this zin has fragrance, colour and taste in its pocket. Not only does the wet wine wash well with just about any meal you can prepare, it also doubles as a stand-alone treat with a unique strawberry aftertaste. Completely skipping over the bitterness of other zins, it tingles the sweet buds of the tongue. If there are better out there, I'd welcome to try them, but haven't found any that measure up so far.

External Reviews for Beringer Vineyards Zinfandel Blend California White Zinfandel
In making Beringer's White Zinfandel, the focus is to highlight the fresh red berry, citrus and melon aromas and flavors, and round them out with subtle hints of nutmeg and clove. The wine has a youthful exuberance that is enjoyable as a sipper on its own, or with a variety of dishes. - Winery
For many years, Beringer's viticulture team has worked with premier California vineyards renowned for high quality Zinfandel fruit. Their rocky, well-drained soils and warm, even climates foster flavorful grapes ideal for Beringer Vineyard's White Zinfandel. Winemaking The grapes were picked early in the morning, before the heat of the day set in, to preserve the Zinfandel varietal's bright, fresh fruit flavors. After crushing, the juice was left in contact with the skins for approximately three hours to extract a light ruby hue, reminiscent of plum blossoms. After gently pressing the grapes, Beringer winemakers used a slow, cool fermentation to highlight the wine's fresh aromas and flavors of summer berries, citrus and honeydew melon.
