Beringer Vineyards White Zinfandel Moscato 2013
Rich in texture and not overtly sweet, this wine has great intensity on the nose - aromas of bright cherries, watermelon sorbet, and strawberries, with a hint of perfume from the Moscato. Not cloying or coating, This wine delivers a beautiful summer drink that finishes with just enough zest to please a multitude of palates.
Three and a half glasses
A very fruity wine with distinct strawberry and raspberry aromas. The wine is sweet with balanced acidity and slight minerality.
An enjoyable light wine that goes with just about any type of food and great to take to a party because of it's wide enjoyability.
A long time favorite for cookouts in the summer.
King of the zinfandels, all hail. Surprised the reviews are low, but to each their own, here are some points I'd like to highlight. A full-sensory experience, this zin has fragrance, colour and taste in its pocket. Not only does the wet wine wash well with just about any meal you can prepare, it also doubles as a stand-alone treat with a unique strawberry aftertaste. Completely skipping over the bitterness of other zins, it tingles the sweet buds of the tongue. If there are better out there, I'd welcome to try them, but haven't found any that measure up so far.
For the price how can you go wrong?

Jacob and Frederick Beringer founded Beringer Vineyards in the year 1870 in the heart of the Napa Valley. The winery houses it's wines in historic tunnels, hand chiseled over many years.
In making Beringer's White Zinfandel, the focus is to highlight the fresh red berry, citrus and melon aromas and flavors, and round them out with subtle hints of nutmeg and clove. The wine has a youthful exuberance that is enjoyable as a sipper on its own, or with a variety of dishes.
The nose has lovely floral notes that are reminiscent of the wonderfully refreshing Spumantes of Italy, with citrus and strawberry fruit nuances. The palate begins with a nice, classic mousse mouthfeel, and strawberry, brown spice and citrus flavors interplay with a refreshing acidity that carries everything into a long, delicious finish.
Beringer's winemakers highlight Zinfandel's characteristically bright, fruity characteristics to create a light, refreshing blush wine. Immediately following gentle destemming and crushing, the must (pulp, juice and skins) is quickly chilled to preserve its fresh strawberry, raspberry and orange peel aromas and flavors. Just as a slight rose hue develops, the juice is pressed off the skins and fermented at carefully controlled, cool temperatures. To impart a slightly creamy texture and round out the vibrant berry and citrus flavors with notes of pear, apple and nutmeg spice, Beringer's winemakers blend in approximately twenty-percent barrel-fermented Chardonnay. - Winery

After gently pressing the grapes, Beringer winemakers used a slow, cool fermentation to highlight the wine's fresh aromas and flavors of summer berries, citrus and honeydew melon.
