Beringer Vineyards Nightingale Private Reserve 2007
Quite a beauty. Lovely soft and viscous Honey, Peach, Orange Rind, Baby's Breath and Hibiscus. Long long lingering finish. Perfect as a Digestif and quite comparable to a French Sauternes - in fact would have loved to taste them side by side.Add winemaker's notes

Decadent and deliciously sweet dessert wine meant for a nice cheese selection or a sipper after dinner. - Tasted at the Beringer Rhine House 4/20/10
Three and a half glasses
Tasty, if a little forgettable. It's almost too sweet, even for a dessert wine.
A great desert wine. Not too sweet or overwhelming like some desert wines. Amazing balance!!!

Wine Enthusiast ReviewThe warm vintage rewarded this dessert wine, yielding incredibly ripe fruit. Barrelfermented, this blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc was picked at 35% of sugar, and has a residual sweetness of 12.1 grams. The wine is tremendous in apricot jam, pineapple tart, vanilla custard and crme brulee flavors, with gorgeously balancing, clean acids and a rich, honeyed finish.Wine Tasting NotesA blend of Semillion and Sauvignon Blanc grapes from Beringers Bale Lane Vineyard makes for a beautiful lush and jammy apricot and vanilla flavors. It is sweet and tasty, perfect for dessert.
Food Pairings for Beringer Vineyards Nightingale Private Reserve
This very special wine offers golden hue and features aromas of apricot nectar, crème brulee, vanilla and honey. Rich flavors of butterscotch, stone fruit and spice, with just a slight hint of cigar box, coat the mouth and linger for a long, luxurious finish. Whether paired with a cheese or rich dessert, Nightingale is a wonderful way to end a meal. - Roger Harrison, Nightingale Winemaker
