Beringer Vineyards Merlot Napa Valley 2010
Offering plush, soft, chewy tannins, and bright fruit characteristics this wine is a blend of ripe plum, black cherry, mint, toffee and dried herb aromas and mouth-coating flavors which are supported with cedar, vanilla, cocoa and nutmeg spice that transition to a long extracted finish.
The wine was good but didn't seem very complex to me. got a slight floral sent upon opening but not much else. as for the taste it had hints of strawberry, orange and what i can only describe as cranberry's. I did like the acidity that the wine had as it gave a nice little tingle. In the end its a nice simple wine for about $5 that you could bring to the family get together or a summer BBQ. I would also recommend it to someone who doesn't like the darker wines.
first time trying this wine. loved it. very mild taste, doesn't have the bitter flavor some wines have. will be the wine i buy from now on.

This wine is brimming with plum, blackberry and sweet vanilla aromas. The flavors are equally rich black cherry, bittersweet chocolate and a hint of smoke. The tannins are dense, and the finish is supple despite the heft and complexity of the wine overall.
