This simple and light merlot has notes of sweet cherry and a hint of cinnamon spice, ideal for a tomato-based pasta dish.

Fine for this price, a fruity, somewhat tannic wine that's dry and balanced and pretty rich. A little bit of Petite Syrah and Zinfandel add darker plum, roasted coffee and chocolate layers to Merlot's cherries and blackberries. Smooth enough to drink with fine meats and cheeses.
Has a lush perfume of plummy berry, oak, mushroom and coffee aromas. It's not a magnificent blcokbuster. Still, it's a great inexpensive wine, filled with flavor, harmony and balance.
