Nice for the price. Therersquo;s some juicy fruit along with greener, thinner notes, but well-structured, with the velvety tannins of far more expensive wines. Dry, but soft. A good everyday wine.

Winemaker's Notes:

89-92 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): Red-ruby. Burnished oak, plum, minerals and bitter chocolate on the nose. Sweet, lush and concentrated, with a firm mineral spine contributing to the impression of structure. Finishes with big, chewy, ripe tannins and excellent persistence. (May/Jun 2002)
