Vanilla cream with toasted nut meat and floral nuances top mocha-inflected, huge, creamy blueberry and black cherry fruit on the imposing, upright and intense fruit-driven nose. There’s plenty of lightly toasty, smoky oak nuance as well, but they sit in the background. This shows impressive pinpoint focus on the palate and is very smooth and opulent without being weighty. There’s a great firmness to this without any tannins poking out of the deep, slightly earth-tinged, creamy dark fruit that shows hints of coffee and tobacco on the palate. The tannins do pop out of the creamy fruit on the back end, along with spice and a little hint of tartness, revealing the firmness of the acid. This is just a seductive wine with super fine depth and exceptional polish. 94 points

Wonderful bright tropical fruit on this chardonnay. Dominant banana and other tropical flavors, bright acidity that dances around on your palate. Lively and well balanced. Very tasty.
Hey, pretty decent for the price. Served in a hotel lobby to passers by, i wasnt expecting much. Having said that it was a solid california chardonnay: super oaky, spicy, with some spice (from the oak). Not a lot of fruit, but what do you expect for the price?
From the highest vineyard in Napa. Big tannin on this wine. Feels warm on the palate, highly concentrated alcohol. Stewed fruit and cassis. Nice spice and cedar notes. The finish is dark berry tart. Past it's time unless cellared all along. Gold leaning to toffee in the glass. Roasted caramel flavors are all that remains. Drink now or make salad dressing.
At first I felt this chardonnay was over oaked. After some time to breathe in the glass and once the bottle was open a bit, it relaxed a bit. All in all, a very woody, vanilla nose. Nice bright tropical fruit like pineapple on the palate where the oak accents. 14.8%, so it's a nice dry chardonnay without being flabby in any one area.

Bright, pale, green-tinged yellow. Precise aromas of stone fruits and wild herbs lifted by floral and rocky naunces. Broad, rich and nicely dry, with a hint of leesy complexity to the stone fruit flavors. Captivating minerality gives finesse to this attractive, plump wine.
Aging in French oak aided in the creation of a rich, smooth, vanilla-laden chardonnay. Butter and light touches of caramel add depth to the delicate fruit flavors.
The 2008 Chardonnay Private Reserve continues the success Beringer has enjoyed with this program. Notes of brioche, hazelnut, marmalade, honeyed tropical fruits, buttered citrus, and a gentle touch of smoke are found in this full-bodied, concentrated wine with impressive purity, depth, and length. It should drink well for 4-5 years.
Leesy, smoky aromas of pineapple, hazelnut and buttery brioche. Fat, lush and rich, with a chewy, saline quality contributing to the impression of extract. A seamless, very ripe chardonnay with a lot of flavor mdash; especially considering that the fruit was picked in a heatwave.
Big, ripe and complex, with full-bodied apple, melon, pear and citrus notes that gain depth and turn creamy in texture, picking up a dash of anise and cedar on the finish. Drink now through 2014.
The smoky, toasty, figgy, buttery aromas of this enticing white lead to similar rich flavors running deep and persistent, picking up notes of pear, apricot, citrus and melon. Finish zooms on and on. 20,000 cases made.
