Beringer Third Century Cabernet Sauviignon 2007
Wine Tasting Notes Even before this full-bodied, garnet-colored Cabernet Sauvignon reaches the mouth, it imparts inviting aromas that create a heightened sense of anticipation. At first sip, the wine bursts forth with flavors of bright red and black fruit leading to a long, satisfying finish.
To get the dirt on this full-bodied wine — one in a series of varietal wines celebrating three hundred years of Beringer winemaking in California — you needn’t go any further than sticking your nose in the glass. All deep toast and spicy sensuality, it shows tobacco, molasses, and smoked meat aromas, overlayed with a healthy dose of black currant, and tart cherry fruit. Raspberry and black cherry highlight the palate, touched up with liberal wood spice into a long, rounded finish.
