Very pleasant cab as it it introduced to the palate. Maybe a tad more fruity than a lot of California Cabernets. Flavors include blackbery or maybe black cherry. Very sedate tannins would make this wine attractive to a lot of people. US$16.99 at Costco a year ago.

A lot of Cabernet at this price, combining ripe, plump flavors of plum, black cherry and blackberry in a rich, smooth, polished style. Full-bodied and firming nicely on the finish, where the tannins have a minerally edge. Drink now through 2021.

Firm, intense and concentrated, with spicy, loamy earth, dried berry, sage and herbal scents. Full-bodied, ending with chewy tannins and a dash of black licorice. Drink now through 2015.

Distinctive quality that can only be created from the rustic, unspoiled vineyards and unique alluvial soils that make up Sonoma s Knights Valley. Located 17 miles northwest of the winery, the Knights Valley vineyard has volcanic, well-drained soils that are perfectly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and S millon.

The 2009 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of clove, allspice, lavender, and cocoa. Juicy flavors of blackberry, sweet tobacco, and pink pepper are accented by fine, approachable tannins, nice body and a rich finish.

Notes of blackberry, dried herbs, and star anise balanced with distinct, rich tannins.

Beringer’s Knights Valley Cabernet has been a staple of their portfolio for over three decades. Earning AVA status in 1983, Knights Valley in the northeastern Sonoma has proven to be an ideal spot for lush Cabernet and Beringer has taken advantage of that fact to produce this winner year after year. This 2009 is beautiful success, scoring 91 points in the Wine Spectator who said "A lot of Cabernet at this price. Combines ripe, plump, plum, black cherry and black berry flavors in a rich, smooth, polished style, full bodied and firming nicely on the finish, where the tannins have a minerally edge. Drink now through 2021." Don't miss it!

A good, rich Cabernet for drinking now and over the short term. Itrsquo;s dry and full-bodied, and if itrsquo;s a little heavy, the blackberry, currant, butter and cedar flavors are delicious.
