Food Pairings for Beringer Founders Cabernet Sauvignon
A perfectly functional wine. Initial funk on the nose blows off reasonably quickly. On the palate it's a lot fruitier than I normally appreciate. Not a lot of acid or tannic structure, but with the sandwich that I had last night made from the previous days leftover Tri-tip, this was fine.
My Rating 84: This wine is extremely neutral with no hint of complexity. It is not a jug wine the taste is well balanced and nothing overwhelms. The French might love this. I don't.
My rating: 85. This wine has a balanced body, not to fruity. It lacks complexity but nothing wrong with the taste. Nose is well balanced and not very powerful. Price was good: 7 $
Good wine for under $10. Perfect with steaks on the grill.
the new label is more appealing than the old one, decent wine.
A decent cab for everyday enjoyment. Deep red color with a full body, fruit forward with balanced tannins. A consistent, smooth finish. It won't disappoint.
Had on my birthday 2011 at Olive Garden. Fruity cab
External Reviews for Beringer Founders Cabernet Sauvignon
The Beringer Founders' Estate Cabernet Sauvignon bursts with lush black fruit and intense cassis flavors that compliment the baking spice and vanilla aromas. Structured tannins and a long finish make this unmistakably a California Cabernet that can be enjoyed immediately. Pair this wine with anything from an elegant duck dish to hearty barbeque pork ribs - delicious. - Winery
Granatrote Farbe, Aromen von Holz, schwarzem Pfeffer und Lebkuchengewürz. Am Gaumen gut strukturiert, reich, Aromen von Heidelbeeren, mit einer leichten Tabaknote.
Another good drink from this line, this Cab displays ripe, juicy flavors of black currants and cherries that are accented with smoky vanilla and toast. It's smooth and supple in the mouth. A good value in this price range.
Soft and easy-drinking, with herbal, red currant, mocha and vanilla notes. Drink now through 2004.
Deep color with bright cassis, green tea, black olive and sweet vanilla spice aromas that lead into a fleshy mouth. Black fruit, cassis, and spice flavors are supported into a long finish by fine-grained, assertive tannins.
Soft, rounded flavors and rich fruit character are enhanced by oak undertones from aging in small French and American barrels. Accessible tannins provide structure to the vivid berry profile.
A good wine, dry and full-bodied, made in the Beringer style, namely, instantly drinkable and likeable. Has pleasant blackberry and cassis flavors. Pulled down a notch by some rough, tart notes and a hot, peppery finish.
"To achieve its well-balanced rich cherry and berry character, this wine was aged in small French and American Oak barrels. Match it with hearty pasta, pork and roast beef." -Winery
