slightly acidic, but overall a good flavor
This wine has a great flavor like cherry and smooth, this is more for a person that enjoys not too dry wines like a Pinot or a Malbec but that's a whole other genre of wines. Very Colorfull with a deep red in tone. It is a little oily not too much ( I personally like this) More flavor a not too much alcohol taste like. I only had one in hand the we opened I wish I had at leat two more of the same for my gests.
This a semi-sweet wine with a dry feel (paradoxical, I know). Fruity flavor, you can taste the grape. I usually drink only very dry wines (Chardonnay, Red Zin, Merlot, Chianti). Not much on the sweeter ones. The wife bought it because it was on sale. This wine is very pleasant to the palate. I do recommend it : ) Oh, and this is the 2009 white merlot I've got, not the '08.
Two and a half glasses
The wine was good but didn't seem very complex to me. got a slight floral sent upon opening but not much else. as for the taste it had hints of strawberry, orange and what i can only describe as cranberry's. I did like the acidity that the wine had as it gave a nice little tingle. In the end its a nice simple wine for about $5 that you could bring to the family get together or a summer BBQ. I would also recommend it to someone who doesn't like the darker wines.
first time trying this wine. loved it. very mild taste, doesn't have the bitter flavor some wines have. will be the wine i buy from now on.
mellow, dark berries, easy drinking, good with grilled red meat

Enormously concentrated, smelling of smoke and coffee and tasting of chocolate and black cherry. An extreme wine that swings for the fences. A long, toasty finish brings the oak flavors back for an encore. Tannic and young enough to start drinking in... Wine Spectator. A Merlot wine from California in USA. 1989 Beringer Merlot Bancroft Ranch 750ml
Himbeerrosa Farbe, Aromen die an rote Beeren, besonders Erdbeeren, Pfirsiche und Wassermelonen erinnern. Am Gaumen frische Fruchtaromen, leicht süsslich, spritzig und erfrischend.
The Beringer Founders' Estate Merlot is approachable and delicious. Hints of plum and brown spice on the nose compliment the boysenberry, blackberry and blueberry finish on the palate. It's well-balanced, soft tannins make this wine a perfect accompaniment to a variety of foods, such as grilled meats or hearty vegetable dishes. - Winery
The 2011 Merlot has a remarkable concentration of fruit with generous notes of black cherry and dark plum throughout. Finely grained tannins and a nice texture give this Merlot a distinct level of complexity while still being very approachable from the start. - Winery
This Merlot is smooth and flavorful, with soft plum and black cherry aromas and flavors.
The wine is bright red fruit and vanilla/spice aromas, and black cherry and sweet black plum flavors, along with the density and volume of the palate, make this wine eminently drinkable.Reviews: "Rated Top Value. Tasty, with appealing wild berry
The fruit in this wine is concentrated but wonderfully balanced and absolutely delicious. It presents itself in the initial aromas, full of ripe cherry and black stone fruit in the nose. The flavors are full of pure, clean fruit as well plum, blueberry and blackberry are all enhanced by warm, brown spices that linger into the finish. Perfect as a pre-dinner aperitif, as well as an ideal match for a variety of rich autumn dishes.
