Berger Zweigelt Red 08 Gruner Vel Austria 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

A spicy, direct and fetching aroma; fruit-times-fruit-times-fruit, but not silly or cloying; rather zingy and gurgly and oddly long considering its forthright simplicity.

A cross between the Blaufränkisch and St.-Laurent grapes, the richly colored Blauer Zweigelt grape was developed in 1922 – by one Dr. Zweigelt. This value-driven Austrian red wine is round and smooth, with lively cherry scents and flavors.

A spicy, direct and fetching aroma; fruit-times-fruit-times-fruit, but not silly or cloying; rather zingy and gurgly and oddly long considering its forthright simplicity.
