Benziger Family Winery Chardonnay Sonoma Coast Sangiacomo Vineyard 2009
Wonderful toasty hazelnut nose with creme bruleé, baked apples and some citrus peel over hints of toasty oak. On the palate, it starts with a nice vibrant crispness. Good acid, and juicy layers of peach, apple, pear, and custard. There are almost hints of a salty parmesan cheese. The salinity gives way on the back to more crisp acid. Nice spice edge on the finish. Very tasty. 6/13/12

Intense and vibrant, with spicy citrus, mineral and flinty green flavors that are pure, focused and juicy, ending with a cleansing finish. Drink now.
Made in the modern, ripe style, but with a greater degree of finesse than you might expect at this price. The wine is dry and crisp and minerally, with a clean mouthfeel, yet offers rich flavors of pineapples, green apples and peaches. Easy to find, with more than 12,000 cases produced.
The Sangiacomo Vineyard Chardonnay is crisp and lean with fresh palate. True varietal characteristics take center stage with flavors of bright green apple, tropical pineapple and pear.
