Benromach 10 Year Old With Glasses

Winemaker's Notes:

Gold - The Scotch Whisky Masters (The Spirits Business), 2015 Gold - San Francisco Wold Spirits Competition, 2015 95 points - Ultimate Beverage Challenge, 2013 This gift pack includes Benromach's highly regarded entry-level 10-year-old whisky and a pair of branded Glencairn glasses. Benromach is Speyside’s smallest distillery. Established in 1898, it prides itself in producing whiskies with a classic pre-1960s Speyside character: beautifully balanced with a light touch of smoke. It is still a family-run distillery with just three distillers who passionately handcraft the whiskies. The barley is locally grown and the pure spring water comes from the Romach Hills of Speyside. 80% of this gorgeous 10 year old is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and 20% in sherry hogsheads (250 litres) which are then transferred in first fill Olorosso sherry casks for a final year. You can expect aromas of rich sherry with fruit and nut chocolate, delicate spice, green apples, malty biscuit and a touch of light peat smoke. On the palate, juicy raspberries and brambles, sherry, creamy malt and a light peat. A lingering sweet sherry finish from a classic Benromach single malt Scotch whisky.
