Benessere” is the Italian word for well being and prosperity. This is the feeling we try to embody at Benessere Winery. We are a small family owned, high end producer of Italian varietals, located in the north end of Napa Valley on the valley floor where the soil is well suited for growing excellent wine. We have expanded our selection of varietals to include Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah and Muscat di Canelli. We also produce an outstanding blend called Phenomenon.
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
This had a strange aroma of cinnamon gum on the nose. Cashew nuts, apricot jam. But I'm wondering if served with the right food - nuts and cheese with quince jelly - if this would grow on me.
Very vegetal, asparagus, cooked veggies. Sweet veggies on the mouth, canned peaches. This wine could grow on me.
Very vegetal and a bit sweet. Nose is a bit like ketchup or meatloaf, with a hint of asparagus.
roasted nuts on the nose...peaches and pears with a tart finish
