Benanti Etna Serra Della Contessa 2004
Inviting nose of candied fruit. Savory ripe fruit with hint of earth, green leaves, white peach, and loquats framed by savory earth. Finish of leather and nuts. Balanced. Well-integrated.Add winemaker's notes
The Winery is located at the hight of 900-1000m on the Etona mountain in Sicily, historically famous site for wine production, but was on the decline until recently. Benanti renovated the old family winery. Its white wine, Pietramarina, uses only trees older than 80 years to create characteristic wine. It is nothing like other white wine. Visitors are welcome prior to appointment.
