Benanti Etna Rosso Serra Della Contessa 2004

Member Review by dynowine:

Inviting nose of candied fruit. Savory ripe fruit with hint of earth, green leaves, white peach, and loquats framed by savory earth. Finish of leather and nuts. Balanced. Well-integrated.

Azienda Vinicola Benanti:
The Winery is located at the hight of 900-1000m on the Etona mountain in Sicily, historically famous site for wine production, but was on the decline until recently. Benanti renovated the old family winery. Its white wine, Pietramarina, uses only trees older than 80 years to create characteristic wine. It is nothing like other white wine. Visitors are welcome prior to appointment.

Auge: rubinrot mit Granatton; Nase: himmlisch fruchtig, würzig mit Nuancen nach Tabak und Vanille; Gaumen: trocken, vollmundig, Tannine, gut ausgewogen, anhaltend mit Liköraroma
