What to Expect

Touriga Nacional is the primary grape used in the production of Port wines. It is increasingly being bottled as a dry red wine and produces a rich, slightly rustic wine that has a deep earthy core of blackberry and mulberry fruit balanced by aromas of flowers, tobacco and rosemary.

Winemakers Notes

Only produced in what we declare as "superb vintage years", our vintage reserve port is made from 100% Portuguese grapes. These are the classic grape varieties of the Douro: Touriga Nacional, tinto Cao, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz. Adhering to tradition, we're aging the reserves with Portuguese chestnut wood.

This is one of the best domestic port-style wines I have tasted in a long time. This winery has consistantly produced great ageworthy dessert wines for over 15 years now - its worth a try. I give it 9 out of 10 points!!
