Bello Family Vineyards Oliver Sauvignon Blanc 2012
An Ideal vintage. A rare cool vintage in Napa Valley with beautiful temperatures and ideal conditions for harvest. Crops were abundant and it was important to firmly regulate yields to make great wine. Religiously deprived of oxygen in the juice stage to preserve the natural aromatics of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. Pressed whole cluster and fermented at very cold temperatures over a two month period in stainless steel.
Strong oatmeal and lemon zest on the nose. This wine is a citrus powerhouse, manifesting all of the best brass and grass that Sauvignon Blanc has to offer. It's clear that 2012 is a cooler vintage, and the result is phenomenal.
