Belle Vallée Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2007
bright dark fruits, smooth, earthy notes, nice finish
Very nice pinot. Smooth with a nice finish. Very light in color but not weak in flavor. "Legs" are thin and watery. I normally prefer heavy, dark wines but this was excellent, especially for the price, which was under $20.

External Reviews for Belle Vallée Pinot Noir Willamette Valley
Willamette Valley faced its share of challenges in 2005, but partners Steve Allen, Mike Magee and Joe Wright of Belle Vallee brought out the best in the vintage with this wine. After a classically cool and sometimes rainy growing season, the team harvested from eight vineyards around the region to make the final blend, a refined, supple wine with brilliant flavors.
Soft and round, with pretty plum and berry notes against earthy, loamy overtones, lingering on the fine-grained finish. Drink now through 2010.
While many wineries in Oregon are quite specific as to where their grapes come from, Belle Vallée strives for continuity of quality, year in and year out. You can count on getting a wine with consistently juicy red fruit, made in a fresh, appealing style.
