Belle Pente Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton Belle Pente Vineyard 2007
Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): Light, hazy red. Redcurrant and strawberry aromas are complemented by notes of white pepper and dried herbs. Light-bodied and a touch dry, offering brisk red fruit flavors and no apparent tannins. This easy-drinking pinot finishes with good clarity and sweetness. (May/Jun 2009)
Editorial Reviews for Belle Pente Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton Belle Pente Vineyard
Warm and lightly jammy lingonberry fruit greets the nose with a touch of dried beefy concentration and some lightly aromatic herbal background notes. Zesty on entry and very focused in the mouth with a tight, acid-driven core of blackberry fruit that is faceted and complex. This has wonderful structure, balanced yet firm, with a mid-palate that really fills out on the backend and a long finish that reveals snappy red fruits laced with subtle mineral tone. 92pts
Not your typical Pinot --in my experience anyways. The coloring and texture strike me more like a Zinfandel. The wine possesed strong fruit flavors with an earthy nose.
very good! one the more earthy, fuller pinots - nothing shy about this one. Yum!

A strikingly good Pinot, and extremely limited. The nose has earthy, peppery, and ripe cherry, and flavors are of red pie cherry, fresh red raspberries, black pepper, cinnamon, and brambly, well integrated tannins. There's bright acidity and lovely balance.
