A product under the Caymus Vineyards umbrella. Picked this wine up for our 4 year anniversary dinner and the girlfriend and I/we loved it. Right out of the bottle, what a bright and vibrant nose of ripe cherry, plum and spices. In the mouth we found a lot of sweet cherry, red berry, fall spices and rich caramel. The last glass of the bottle revealed quite a bit of vanilla considering the short time she spent in French oak. I was worried it would be a tad young but it drank well with just enough acid and heat to complement our pork porterhouse with gingered jewel yams with heirloom apple coulis, shaved fennel and tangerine. Can drink now or wait 4-6 years. I cant wait to try the Sonoma and Sta. Lucia versions, or the '06s and '07s.

Deep ruby color with aromas and flavors evocative of a warm autumn afternoon. An enticing bouquet of cinnamon stick, resin, crushed cherry and woodsmoke lead to a palate of ripe currant and blueberry, tamarind and sweet, smoked plum. Supple on the pa... Elizabeth Becker. Belle Glos is a super premium Pinot Noir produced by none other than Caymus Vineyards and the striking red wax capsule is a statement to the exceptional character of this wine. The Wagner family purchased prime vineyard property in the several Pinot Noir hot spots including this vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. The Wine Spectator scored it 91 points saying "Firm and well-structured, with a ripe, rich, concentrated mix of wild berry, blueberry and strawberry flavors, with scents of wild flowers. Full-bodied, complex and layered on the finish. Drink now through 2017." Limited!

A rich, extracted style that's dense, but also very complex and detailed, with spicy berry flavors that fan out nicely while retaining their focus, gaining depth on the finish. Best from 2012 through 2019.

Dark scarlet, opaque color. Aromas of cranberry with spicy notes of peppercorn, cumin and ginger. In the mouth, pepper-spice notes give way to strawberry flavors and firm acidity. The tannins are silky but firm, the texture is mouth coating. The long, lingering finish combines notes of spicy tobacco and strawberry with sweet, toasty oak and hints of black licorice.

A combination of both rich fruit and spice is found in the 2005 Pinot Noir Clark and Telephone Vineyard. Notes of sweet plums, cherries, currants, loamy soil, and herbs are found in both the aromas and medium to full-bodied flavor profile.
