Immediate smokey cherries on the nose, new bright fruit ripe and ready for picking, candied red apples and cranberries. Smoke and spice on the palate, very red fruit forward, fuller bodied for a pinot, warm hot sun, ripe CA fruit is noticeable. when eating my shrimp bbq taco, some black pepper notes come through with some black cherries and softens itself, blends well

This pinot fades fast, and is rough across the palate. Tastes, of earth and blackcherry. I paid $9 for 3 oz at a new trendy wine bar.
Terrific; best of a recent tasting I did of seven Somoma Pinots. Smooth, rich, beautiful color, berry forward but not overly sweet. A great buy at $25.
This is a wine that has an alcoholic nose, I'm not going to lie, but there is also some rich notes of chocolate, bacon, and dark berries in the nose so it's not completely overpowered. Long oily legs. Slides across the palate, very light tannic finish. Bold, simple, very drinkable.

Bright crimson color. Complex brown spices and a slight smokiness are sweetened by ripe dark fruit that enlivens the aroma and palate. The beautifully balanced texture and soft, supple tannins lead on to a soft finish.
Winery notes: At less than six miles from the Pacific Ocean and subject to sometimes ruthless fog and winds the Taylor Lane Vineyard can make growing grapes an act of faith. To achieve full maturity at this coastal site we paired the early-ripening Dijon clones with an adapted traditional Italian trellis system that carries the vine shoots across a nearly horizontal canopy. The trellis acts as a solar panel for maximum ripening and permits dappled sunlight throughout the day and excellent air circulation to the fruit; its height also lets us graze sheep for weed control.
