Medium ruby. Perfumed, superripe aromas of black cherry jam, violet pastille and licorice. Supple and very ripe in the mouth; dense and sweet but given shape by strong acidity and firm, chewy tannins. Finishes with a note of dark chocolate. Very distinctive merlot, from clay-rich soil at an altitude of about 2,000 feet.
