Bedrock Ode To Lulu Rose California 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

Mourvèdre, Grenache and Carignan. Not yet reviewed; 2013 vintage rated 92 points by Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): (made from a blend of mourvedre, carignane, grenache and grenache gris; 12.6% alcohol): Pale orange. An assertively perfumed bouquet evokes raspberry, blood orange and Asian spices, with an intense floral quality and zesty minerality adding complexity. Dry and precise on the palate, offering sappy red berry, citrus fruit and floral flavors and a jolt of white pepper. Spicy and linear on the long, incisive finish, which leaves red fruit and floral notes behind.

Bedrock Wine Co.:
Bedrock is an itsy-bitsy winery making wine in a converted chicken coop. Fruit from only the most excellent vineyard sites is hand pitch-forked into the destemmer, fermented in open top redwood and stainless vats using only native yeasts, and are manually basket pressed by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson into the sexiest oak from the coldest French forests.
