Fresh pineapple juice aromatics leap out of the glass, mingling with mango, melon and ripe apple flavors. Smooth, supple and very refreshing. Drink now.
The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Estate shows the brighter, grassier side of Sauvignon in its crisp, floral aromas and flavors. The estate used a touch of French oak (6%) to give the wine a little more polish. This is a very pretty wine from Beckmen. Anticipated maturity: 2012andndash;2014.
Juicy lime flavors pack plenty of acidity and alcohol into this wine, a tart white to pour with sea bass ceviche.
An attractive, citrusy, melony, mineral-scented and flavored, elegant, medium-bodied, fresh, tasty 1998 Sauvignon Blanc. Another excellent Sauvignon Blanc from Santa Barbara, it possesses admirable flavor on the mid-palate as well as length. Drink it over the next year.
There's no oak evident at all in this clean, lemony wine, although it avoids overly sour flavors by veering into riper peach notes. Lees aging adds a creamy texture and bitterness. This pretty wine is a straightforward drink at a super-value price.
Rich, ripe honeydew melon, lime peel and fleshy mango and peach flavors are flavorful and focused.
