The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Estate shows the brighter, grassier side of Sauvignon in its crisp, floral aromas and flavors. The estate used a touch of French oak (6%) to give the wine a little more polish. This is a very pretty wine from Beckmen. Anticipated maturity: 2012andndash;2014.
Lean, focused and tangy, with green apple, mineral, lemon-lime and grass flavors that keep unfolding, ending in a vibrant, concentrated finish. Drink now through 2006.
Has the round, creamy texture and feel of a barrel fermented wine, but neutral oak preserves all of the varietal flavor of Sauvignon Blanc grape: grapefruit, melon and a touch of lemon grass. The wine's excellent structure and acidity keep the flavors crisp and clean.
An attractive, citrusy, melony, mineral-scented and flavored, elegant, medium-bodied, fresh, tasty 1998 Sauvignon Blanc. Another excellent Sauvignon Blanc from Santa Barbara, it possesses admirable flavor on the mid-palate as well as length. Drink it over the next year.
