Has the round, creamy texture and feel of a barrel fermented wine, but neutral oak preserves all of the varietal flavor of Sauvignon Blanc grape: grapefruit, melon and a touch of lemon grass. The wine's excellent structure and acidity keep the flavors crisp and clean.
Opens with pretty, sweet oak, ripe melon and grapefruit. Follows up with a bright lemony edge.
Kissed with sunshine, Beckmen's 1998 Sauvignon Blanc is the wine to be enjoyed during those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. The refreshing grapefruit, melon and lemon grass flavors match extremely well with tortellini and pesto. So have some fun and let your light shine!
An attractive, citrusy, melony, mineral-scented and flavored, elegant, medium-bodied, fresh, tasty 1998 Sauvignon Blanc. Another excellent Sauvignon Blanc from Santa Barbara, it possesses admirable flavor on the mid-palate as well as length. Drink it over the next year.
