Juicy lime flavors pack plenty of acidity and alcohol into this wine, a tart white to pour with sea bass ceviche.
The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Estate shows the brighter, grassier side of Sauvignon in its crisp, floral aromas and flavors. The estate used a touch of French oak (6%) to give the wine a little more polish. This is a very pretty wine from Beckmen. Anticipated maturity: 2012andndash;2014.
Fresh pineapple juice aromatics leap out of the glass, mingling with mango, melon and ripe apple flavors. Smooth, supple and very refreshing. Drink now.
An attractive, citrusy, melony, mineral-scented and flavored, elegant, medium-bodied, fresh, tasty 1998 Sauvignon Blanc. Another excellent Sauvignon Blanc from Santa Barbara, it possesses admirable flavor on the mid-palate as well as length. Drink it over the next year.
Pale yellow. Varietally accurate scents of citrus and orchard fruits, herbs and white flowers, with a hint of quinine. Smooth in texture and moderately concentrated, with gently sweet orange and pear flavors and a kiss of mint. Shows slight warmth on the finish, which repeats the minty note.
Rich, ripe honeydew melon, lime peel and fleshy mango and peach flavors are flavorful and focused.
