Because it is built around a larger core of Grenache than in recent vintages, the 2005 Cuvée Le Bec delivers beautiful aromatics and bright berry flavors. These great Grenache qualities form the heart of this Southern Rhône -inspired blend. In keeping with the inviting, ready-to-drink style that has come to define our Cuvée Le Bec, Steve selected Grenache lots displaying a lighter, more open character for this blend, with an emphasis on fruit from Purisima Mountain Vineyard. The final blend - which includes Syrah, Mourvedre and Counoise - was assembled early, in order to allow the wine ample time to come together in barrel.<br/><br/>
