Perhaps the most collectible Pinot Noir in America, Beaux Freres has set a standard that few can match. A partnership between renowned wine critic Robert Parker and his brother-in-law, the winery produces only Pinot Noir. The Willamette Valley cuvée features fruit grown on select vineyard sites in Yamhill County. The wine benefits from the same integrity in the winemaking process as the estate wines. The sites are farmed sustainably and managed to very low yields. It was aged in the same French oak barrels used in the estate bottling, however the percentage of new oak is intentionally lower. This cuvée consists of wine made from the following vineyards: Zena Crown, Beaux Frères, Gran Moraine, Amalie Robert, and Upper Terrace. And as always it is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Wine Spectator scored it 93 points saying "Sleek and silky, with pretty cherry and mineral flavors that glide seamlessly through the long, vivid finish. This has depth, deft balance and welcome restraint. Drink now through 2017." "EXTREMELY LIMITED!!!

The aromas are earthy ? with underbrush and herbs playing on the dark fruit. Medium to full bodied, highlighting this vintages hallmarks ? low acidity and sweet tannin; it is silky and spicy with an earthiness comparable to a premier cru from the Nuits-St

Light and spicy, with pretty red berry and cinnamon flavors that linger against refined tannins. The flavors expand with each sip, picking up extra mineral and earth nuances, as the finish sails on unabated. Its the length that makes this special. D... Wine Spectator. A great follow up to the outstanding 2008 vintage! Winemaker Notes - Our 2009 Willamette Valley cuv e is a comprised of fruit from the following vineyard sources: Zena Crown 32%, Beaux Fr res 25%, Gran Moraine 21%, Amalie Robert 13%, and Upper Terrace 2%. It is a medium to full-bodied wine with sweet tannin, low acidity and an intriguing bouquet of foresty underbrush, redcurrants and black cherries. With a hint of Asian spices it has undeniable charm, silkiness and velvety texture. These are all hallmarks of the best 2009 Oregon Pinots and are well displayed in this wine.

Winemaker's Notes:

Light in color and body, this is deftly balanced to let the gorgeous raspberry, cherry and espresso flavors emerge easily and waft through the long, expressive finish, without much weight. Impressive for its style and refinement.
