Beaune Premiere VV Dominique Laurent 2002
"Steven Tanzer 91: Deep red. Sappy aromas of raspberry, strawberry and chocolate, with a suggestion of surmaturite Large-scaled, broad and sweet but not at all heavy. A very rich, creamy, enveloping wine that conveys a strong impression of soil character-not to mention old-vines concentration. Finishes with lightly dusty tannins and excellent length. (3/05) Wine Spectator 91: Very sweet cherry, berry and spice aromas and flavors highlight this meaty, brooding Pinot Noir. Its balanced, with the oak still prominent today, but this will fade as the wine ages. Lingering finish of green olive, sandalwood and cherry. Best from 2007 through 2015.B.S. "
