This wine is their Red Blend, not their Zin. Nice everyday wine. Zin in the nose but the Barbera comes through also. Not a wine to ponder but enjoyable. Lighter style. My rating-- 84
Upon opening had a very strong aroma of what reminded me of mixed berry jam with a hints of oak. As to the taste I got an initial hint of raspberry's the changed into a warm black peppery taste with hints of chillies and finished with notes of black cherries. I'm usually not a very big Zinfandel fan but this was very good and I will definitely be buying another bottle or two. It also paired very well a hardy macaroni & beef casserole, and blueberry mousse cake.
