Beaulieu Vineyard Pinot Noir Coastal Estates 2006
You know, when you spend under 10 for a pinot, you basically get what you deserve. Ok, so this was a very drinkable, medium, mild straight forward pinot, I think I paid about 9 for it in Palmer Ak. It did the job I suppose, but this was for Christmas Dinner and I had a lot of eating and drinking to do, so glad I got this one out of the way first. Probably won't buy this again.
Aromas of red cherry fruit, raspberries, sour cherries, a little bit of pepper, minerality and earth. On the palate - complex, luscious cherry fruit with inklings of pepper and spices. tannins need to open up more but has wonderful elegant flavors, and delicate finesse.
Being a primarily white wine drinker, this is a red that I can turn too. It has soft tannins and mild oak so that it is easy to drink, doesn't leave your mouth dry and it doesn't have a harsh, hot finish. Fruity nose with berries as you first sip. Very good with meals.
Mediocre at best. Very flat tasting, no real depth here. One could do much better n this price range with Red Truck for example
Two and a half glasses

Currant, stewed cherry and floral notes have soft structure and gentle oak overtones. Drink now.
Delicious red cherry, berry and spice notes. A harmonious Pinot Noir of increased fruitiness and complexity with a hint of oak.
